What is DSSSB(Delhi Subordinate Service Selection Board)?


On the 50th Anniversary year of the Indian Independence, the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi has instituted the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board. The Board has been incorporated with the purpose of recruiting capable, competent, highly skilled individuals by conducting written tests, professional tests and personal interviews wherever as desired. The Board shall hereby committed to develop selection and recruitment procedures that confirm to the global standards in testing, and promise selections by all fair means, of the most competent, capable, and skilled individuals for user departments.
The Board conducts the recruitment of Group 'B' and 'C' posts in different departments of Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, Municipal Corporation of Delhi, Delhi Electric Supply Undertaking and New Delhi Municipal Council and its autonomous bodies in the jurisdiction of this Board.

DSSSB Exam Eligibility Criteria- TGT (COMPUTER SCIENCE)

i:Essential Qualification: Essential: 1. Bachelors Degree in Computer Application (BCA) from a recognized University. OR Graduation in computer Science from a recognized University. (Provided that the Computer Science subject must be studied in all years as main subject). OR B.E./ B. Tech. (Computer Science/Information Technology) from a recognized University. OR Graduation in any subject and 'A' level course from DOEACC, Ministry of Information & Communication and Technology, Govt. of India. Note: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Competent Authority for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

ii:Pay Scale: Rs.9300-34800+Grade Pay Rs. 4600/-.

iii: Age Limit: 30 years (relaxation in upper age limit available to:- SC-05 years, ST-05 years, OBC-03 years, PH-10 years, PH & SC/ST-15 years, PH & OBC-13 years, for Govt. servants up to 5 years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by Central Govt.).

iv:This post is identified suitable for PH (OH, HH) persons only as per the requisition of the User Department. R. No. F.DE.TGT (CS)/E-IV/REQ/2013/7189 dated 13/12/13.

Paper 1: Objective Type:

The exam paper includes the two main portions:

i:The first portion includes General Awareness, General Intelligence& Reasoning, Arithmetic / Numerical Ability, Knowledge of English and Hindi languages.

ii:The second portion includes the area of domain, which carries the total marks 100. The total weight age of marks of paper is 200.

Paper 2: Descriptive Type:

In second paper, candidates have to attempt the questions from the area of specialization. The marks allotted to this paper are 200 and that have to be completed in 2 &1/2 hrs.

Arithmetic/Numerical Ability:

Operations on Number, Fractions , Simplification, Decimals, L.C.M., Percentage ,H.C.F, Ratio and Proportion, Average, Time and Work, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple Interest & Compound Interest, Time, Chain Rule, Speed & Distance, Mensuration and Data Interpretation questions.

General Intelligence & Reasoning:

Differences, Analogies, Problem Solving, Space Visualization, Decision Making, Analysis, Judgment, Arithmetical Reasoning Visual Memory, Observation, Relationship, Arithmetical Number Series, Verbal and Figure Classification, etc.

Knowledge of English and Hindi Languages:

Knowledge pertaining to languages such as Vocabulary, Synonyms, Antonyms, Grammar, and Sentence Correction etc.

General Awareness: :

Scientific Research, Sports, Art and Culture, History, Polity Constitution, Everyday Science, Geography, Economics, National/International Organizations /Institutions etc.
